Town &Country Style Opening Evening

Last week we shared with you the gorgeous invite received to attend the opening of Town &Country Style’s new showroom in Alexandria.

Suzette the owner of Town &Country Style truly showed her creativity and passion for design in the attention to detail of this event. As hinted at in the invite the theme of the evening centred around music.

The were antique musical instruments throughout the event space and hors ‘doeuvres were served on records of yesteryear. Waitstaff walked glasses of Moet around in hessian dresses made complete with silk bow ties and the seating was lined with Town &Country Style’s fabric. Divine!

To see our range of Town &Country wares please visit us in store.

Invite from Town &Country Style

This week we received an invite from Town &Country Style to attend the opening of their new showroom in Alexandria.

The invite came printed on a scroll with the musical notes of Concerto De Chambre and tied with gorgeous black silk ribbon and boxed beautifully.

We cannot wait to see Town &Country’s new showroom as we have always admired the way they blend French parisian with modern pieces and we are certain Suzette will throw the perfect event.

Of course we will be back to share the details of the party with you!

Sneak Peak:Inside the Home of Sue,Interior Decorator &Owner of Trouve at Terrigal

Sue our resident Interior Decorator and owner of Trouve at Terrigal opened the doors to her beautiful home on the Central Coast to take us through her favourite room, the sitting room.

Drawing inspiration from the lush green grounds and small stream that runs through the property Sue when decorating her room chose a white and warm blue theme to complement her surroundings.

When designing any space you start with a key feature to build around and for Sue it was her Ottoman. Sue takes advantage of the Ottoman with a rustic basket tray placed on top to use it as a coffee table and gives it colour with a throw from French &Country.

For friends and family with young children Sue invested in a small cane chair from Villa Mason which means she has somewhere practical for children to sit and play while maintaining the style of her home.

Another favourite piece of Sue’s is her custom made white chair with feather cushions which offset the warm blue tones throughout the room.

We hop you have learned a few designing tricks and enjoyed the sneak peak into the gorgeous home of Sue!

We Love Dante Neste Soaps!

Don’t we all love luxurious things? I am finding as I get older that I am really treasuring my small luxuries –like a beautiful candle,or a luxury soap. I have fallen in love with these soaps from Dante Neste. I look forward to having my shower,it just smells so lovely every time. Not only that but my skin feels amazing after using these soaps. We have just gotten a whole new batch in and I can tell you that they are flying out the door! With scents like mandarin, citron, bergamot, peach, and the divine thermal springs addition! Whats not to love?

The soaps are made in Florence,Italy. This location is home to Europe’s oldest soap makers. Nesti Dante is one of only a few companies left in the world still producing bath and body products by the artisan cauldron method or ‘Saponeria’. This labour-intensive process takes place over five days and is renowned for producing an incredibly rich, highly fragrant and long-lasting soap. Each Nesti Dante soap is then individually wrapped in exquisite Florentine paper adorned with intricate watercolour prints inspired by traditional designs of the Renaissance. This long and artisan process is indicative of the Nesti Dante company philosophy ‘To be the best, not the biggest’. The Nesti Dante bath &body collection consists of individually wrapped soaps, natural liquid soaps and beautiful gift sets.

Small Living via eheheheh

Have a look at this clever use of a small space!

Small Living I love small houses and their insanely hard to design. Well for most people. akasaka shinichiro atelier has designed ‘small box house’. A two-storey residence in the western hillside of mount moiwa, sapporo. The clients wanted this small home to be flexible enough to house a small cafe on the main floor in addition to hosting a variety of events. Seen as a simple cube from the outside, the interior arranges itself around an irregularly shaped voi … Read More

My Design Inspiration Sarah’s House

So for those of you that know me well –you know just how much I have been inspired by Sarah Richardson from Sarah’s House. She has the most amazing ideas, and ability to pull a beautiful elegant yet relaxed look together for a home. She loves to mix fabrics and combine rustic things with shiny new ones. Her style is very pretty yet strong in its presentation.

Take a look at her “summer house”. It is my dream house! I can imagine sitting on that top deck watching the ocean, and sipping on a glass of wine whilst the world goes by. Have a look at her dining room with those big open windows. Nice placement of the high Wingback chairs at the dining table. Beautifully complimented by the bench seat on one side and the chairs on the other. She pulls it all together so well.

Her living room has a lot of fabrics and cushions that are very similar to the ones we currently have in store. Lots of blues, greys, and soft colours with a “Hamptons”feel to it all.

Ahhhh,so nice.
